2008 RFA Commentary
Just opening up a thread for the upcoming RFA season commentary. Also, just reminding everyone that RFAs are due my Monday the 24th by 11:59 pm. Please don't wait until the last minute, no exceptions are made!

Re: 2008 RFA Commentary
Still need declerations from the Absolut, Mutts, Derby Cars, and Liquid Swords.

Re: 2008 RFA Commentary
Still need to hear from Mutts and Absolut. I see Jake has been on recently. I assume no one has heard from Brett lately? He hasn't been on the board since last Monday. I'll email/PM him today.

Re: 2008 RFA Commentary
Brett, remember to watch your cap when you post your declarations. As your team currently stands, you'll only have $1559 to work with come April 1.

Re: 2008 RFA Commentary
Less than 4 hours to go, only Brett outstanding. I see it's now been over a week since he's been on the site. If he doesn't show up tonight, he's going to be an unhappy camper when he does arrive and finds that S. Jackson will be a UFA.
Man, I can't wait to start bidding in one week! |

Where's a roster app.. who else are potential RFA's on his squad? And can he afford a 1st rd tender? |

S. Moss could be another possibility... Oops just checked ... that is with AP on the IR for half his salary of 850 |

Besides, he's so close to the cap, that I'm not even sure what level he'd tender him at. Maybe he plans to roll with AP and Edge this year and wants to cut Jackson loose so he has some cap space to go after some WRs. |
Re: 2008 RFA Commentary
I think he'll have to make his own declarations, too.

It's REALLY nice being able to pop in, see whats going on, read the debates, post a comment here and there and not give a damn how things turn out. ;) Sure I miss some of it, but not worrying about player movement, RFA's or UFAs, the rookie draft and whatnot, yeah, I'm OK with that. |

Now, if Brett doesn't show up at all this week, we have another problem in that we are short an owner again. Hopefully we don't have to cross that bridge, but we might want to start thinking about options if that happens. |
Re: 2008 RFA Commentary
All right, it looks like we are set to go to start bidding tomorrow. If I've missed something and we're still waiting on something, let me know.

Re: 2008 RFA Commentary
Is it 12:00 AM EDT yet?!?! Let's get this RFA period fired up!
:nutkick: :stooges: :punk: :jump: :taz:  :drink2: :thewave: |
Re: 2008 RFA Commentary
Nobody with a 12:01 bid? I'm sooo disappointed. Alright, I'll get this thing going.:bling:
|
Re: 2008 RFA Commentary
OK, I bid on the existing guy and threw out a new one. Let's get this RFA period rolling!!!
|
Re: 2008 RFA Commentary
I'm waiting for an list of all the RFAs w/tender levels so I don't have to sift through 12 different threads each time.

I love the bid on Wayne - No messing around Frank!
|
Re: 2008 RFA Commentary
Yep. I'm planning on going from worst to 1st!!!
|
Re: 2008 RFA Commentary
Yeah, except for the fact that he just let Freedom out of the box he had put himself. We had a chance to put some pain to one of the better teams in the league.

Or are you meaning Freedom is now off the hook for 1800 in RFA? |
Re: 2008 RFA Commentary
The latter. Look at his team and you'll see why I threw Anderson out for the price that I did.

Re: 2008 RFA Commentary
Hmm, whatever your strategy is, I'm missing it. Wayne is an instant decline for him, so I don't see how it matters what price he's at.
I hope your plan puts more hurt on him than mine was going to. |

And being honest, I may just get involved there myself. Yeah maybe Wayne's going to end up overpaid, but that's how you pry them away AND make others hesitate to join into a bidding war.. Kinda like what Amish's did on Sjax. Bid him high and make the owner struggle to match. That's how you get RFA's. |
