The Fat Nancies will send:

Larry Fitzgerald ($1,342/1 year)
Pick 6.10 in the 2007 rookie draft

Nice trade Matt. Without looking at the rosters, maybe this fills a need for the Nancies, but getting Fitz at a great price is a great deal.

Well, I reviewed what the top WRs cost in RFA lat year I realised it was going to be very difficult to keep Fitz,and if I decided not to match then thie pick I was going to get wouldn't be as good as the 1.09, given that and being able to pick up a cheaper RB2 it seemed like a win-win deal. Although Matt will be very happy with this I think.

How come none of you guys thought of this?

Now that it is comfirmed I will admit to being ecstatic though I think all in all it is a good deal for both teams. After trading Wayne last year I knew that WR was going to be a need position and while this year is considered a deep draft at WR I was not sure picking at 5 and 9 was going to net me an impact player for this year (or maybe even next). Hopefully Fitz stays healthy and the Nancies get a player with that ninth pick and this turns out well for both teams!!

Oddly, enough he will become the highest paid player under contract for next year on my team so I should have money to make some other moves.

Looking at it from that perspective, you obviously made out better than had you tagged him as an RFA. However, I probably didn't think of it because I assumed Fitz was worhty enough to match the best offer. Not knowing your cap, maybe that wasn't reasonable.
