I've been trying to move up since 1.7 to land him, finally found a taker.

He very well may have slipped to me at 12, but I didn't want to chance it. In Frenzy, had QB been a need position he would have been my 1.05 pick.... here in SACD, I have no developmental QB, and only Romo signed up for 3 years. I love this pick, and my draft thus far.

AP and Russell, 2 top 10 NFL talents.

If I didn't already have Cutler, this would have been my pick here, and no trade would have happened. Nice value pick for sure.

In my book, he has serious bust potential, but at the 10th pick, his risk/reward is about right.

More or less agree, but I'm leaning more towards bust than boom. I wouldn't even have discussed him until this late in the draft and wouldn't take him unless I had serious QB issues.

What exactly guarantees his success? His big arm? His mobility? His college success? Good thing no QBs with all that have never failed before. But fortunately he's going to a team that's been great for developing young talent over the last several years to help his chances.

No way. I follow the Vikings pretty close. If there are any players I have a good feel for, it is my Vikings (not counting rookies). I have a good idea of what Chilly is trying to do with the offense, and thus, I want nothing to do with their receivers.
