Pred's Fantasy Football Forums - McAllister Trade Null & Void for Week 5

The Rules Committe has discussed the validity of this trade, and have ruled 2-0 (w/Matt abstaining since he was involved in the deal) that it CANNOT take effect for the week 5 games.

All trades must be completed by the 10pm Friday weekly trade deadline.

The Rules specifically state the following:

Trades between teams are unlimited. Trades will be subject to a 24 hour review period by the rules committee, who by majority vote can overturn a trade if they feel it is if appears to be extremely one-sided or collusionary. The league can overturn the rules committee’s vote with a 2/3’s majority vote from the entire league.

Players CANNOT be traded without their contract years 1st being assigned by the original team.

The weekly trade deadline is Friday at 10pm to allow time for the 24 hour review period. A trade will be considered final after 24 hours if the rules committee fails to enact upon it either in favor or against within the 24 hour review period.

The deadline for all trades is the Wednesday prior to the week 12 games at noon (12pm) ET

Further, this trade was never confirmed (outside an e-mail which included McAlister in their lineup) by the Wyverns on the League Message board, hence it wasn't officially consumated. Trades MUST be posted in the Trades Forums and HAVE TO BE CONFIRMED BY BOTH PARTIES to take effect. No trade will be allowed if this is not adhered to.

We have rules for a reason, and will adhere to them.

This means the following wil occur for Week 5's games... any "post-trade" lineup involving these players will NOT be allowed. The last lineup in place BEFORE the trade will be used.

Philly had a previous week 5 lineup submitted, however Detroit didn't, therefore, we will again abide by the rule book which states:

If no starters are named in time, the previous week's starters will be used (regardless if the players are active that week or not) and the team will be assigned a 20 point penalty for that weeks game.

I hope this resolves the issue. Let it serve as notification to all that we WILL enforce the rules we've all agreed upon, so heed this in the future when considering trades.
