2009 RFA declarations - official posting
We're just waiting on Rich's RFA declarations (he's the new guy, taking over the Dodgers squad - his team name is the RABID LLAMAS)... so once he posts that, we'll be set.
In the meantime, if anyone wants to make final tweaks on their declarations, now is the time to do it! Once Rich posts his RFAs, I'll put all of the official RFAs (and their tenders) by position in this post. |

Re: 2009 RFA declarations - official posting
Here's the list based on what's been declared as of right now. We still have one more team to submit their RFAs... so changes can still be made!
However, please reply to this email, telling me what changes you'd like to make... then I don't have to go searching all 12 previous posts. Thanks. |
Re: 2009 RFA declarations - official posting
Jim - when will the bidding start?
|
Re: 2009 RFA declarations - official posting
Once we get Rich's RFAs in... I'd like to give people 48 hours to look at the list before starting the bidding. Does that sound fair?
|
Re: 2009 RFA declarations - official posting
Is there an 2009 roster app somewhere? Would be nice to know my official cap situation.
|
Re: 2009 RFA declarations - official posting
Not sure who was in charge of that. Hopefully not one of the "Minnesota Gang" last season. If so, we'll need to redistribute that task to current league members.
|
Re: 2009 RFA declarations - official posting
Jim, just tell Frank he is in charge of his own team, thus he should already know what his cap is looking like ;-)
I do believe Brian was the keeper of the spreadsheet last year, so we need someone to volunteer.... |
Re: 2009 RFA declarations - official posting
I don't really work with spreadsheets... so when I was the keeper of the sheet for a stint last summer, it was difficult for me. Do others use it frequently enough to want to take this important task over?

Re: 2009 RFA declarations - official posting
Okay, folks... all RFA's have now been submitted! Let's say that official RFA bidding will open at 12:01am on THURSDAY, April 9th. If you'd like to make any more changes to your declarations, please do so by 11:50pm tonight (April 7th). Then we'll have 24 hours to review & plan for our bidding strategies!
Good to get the season going again! |
Re: 2009 RFA declarations - official posting
hey Jim, can you sticky this, so it doesn't get pushed down after each new bid? Check out the format in SAC'd...maybe want to do the same style so we know who is still available to open up bidding on?

I really don't think it is fair to have the bidding proceed without everyone knowing their cap situations. |
Re: 2009 RFA declarations - official posting
I don't know how to do the rookie bonuses... can someone else do that?

Should work until we get an official app going. |
Re: 2009 RFA declarations - official posting
BTW... everyone should know where they stand, right... since we're all responsible for our own team?! Hopefully everyone has kept their moves up to date... you can look at your 2009 salaries... and any cap hit... to get a good indication of where you are.
I'll try to update the MFL site late, late tonight... but I've never worked with it. Someone else had that responsibility last year. So be patient. |
Re: 2009 RFA declarations - official posting
Just to be clear also and trying to remember RFA
I tendered S Jax as 2400 so at the moment he counts as 2400 against my salary until someone bids right? |
Re: 2009 RFA declarations - official posting
correct... but that doesn't limit the amount you can bid on other RFAs... it just means IF you win the player, and he's declined, you'll still have to factor in the SJax hold, if no one else has bid him up!
|
Re: 2009 RFA declarations - official posting
I worked the MFL site last year but Jake converted it over to 2008 last year for me...so im not sure how to convert it to 2009 but it should be current as of 2008
|
Re: 2009 RFA declarations - official posting
I'll try to update it late tonight... after Maundy Thursday worship.
|
Re: 2009 RFA declarations - official posting
Just a reminder... the following players are still available for RFA designation. If there's no active bidding for 5 days, I'll float a recommendation to end the RFA period.
Those in green are still available for bidding... Those bolded are sold... Quote:

Re: 2009 RFA declarations - official posting
List above is updated... there are 9 RFAs still available for bidding. Will wait a few more days... then if no new bids, I'll declare the RFA period closed... and we can get started on the rookie draft!
|
Re: 2009 RFA declarations - official posting
It has been over 4 days since the last RFA bid was placed. As Commissioner, I'll declare the RFA period to be over if we have no new bids by 11:59pm EST on 5/7/09.
|
Re: 2009 RFA declarations - official posting
I am good with that....
|
Re: 2009 RFA declarations - official posting
Agreed.
|
Re: 2009 RFA declarations - official posting
As of Sunday night... there are now the following RFA positional players available:
1 QB 3 RBs 1 WR 1 K If we get no further bids by 11:59pm EST tomorrow (Monday, May 11th), then I'll consider the RFA period closed. |

Re: 2009 RFA declarations - official posting
Please.
Sorry... when I posted this, I hadn't seen the note that the draft was scheduled to start on the 11th. I think one day postponement shouldn't be a problem. Want to make sure there are no last minute bidders out there. JIM |
Re: 2009 RFA declarations - official posting
Oh I can't wait, don't even know who to take yet ;). Someone give me some suggestions!!
|
Re: 2009 RFA declarations - official posting
The RFA period is officially over. The following players have been awarded back to the teams that tendered them:

Re: 2009 RFA declarations - official posting
Will you be doing a composite thread for 2010 RFA's now that all the slots are filled?
