Wow.

What a fleecing by Matt. So now he has the 2nd and 3rd overall pick in the draft.

Barber is looking to be in a RBBC with Felix Jones and Tashard Choice and the new guys trades away his 3rd overall pick AND a 3rd rounder for Barber.

You could have nabbed a Top 3 rookie RB (Wells, Moreno, McCoy, etc...) who would have cost LESS than Barber and been in a potentially better situation. 1st rounders are golden and are the key to becoming a great franchise in this system.

If you were intent on trading your 1st rounder... you should have shopped around. I'm sure other owners (myself included) would have jumped all over the chance to grab a Top 3 pick.

You make some good points. This isn't my first dynasty league. I've been doing them for 5 years so I realize the importance of 1st round picks. I like Barber (FYI - I'm from MN and watched him in college for 3 years so maybe there is a bias)...and think he can be a top 10 back again.

The 3rd pick last year was probably either Stewart or Mendanhall (I have both of them is different dynasty leagues...both are RBBCs as well) Also, for every chance you take on a rather unknown RB in a good situation like Matt Forte...there is a Brandon Jackson.

I think the wrong 3rd round pick was traded over. I was supposed to have the Floyds and Gunslingers 3rd round picks from previous trades. I traded the Gunslingers 3rd round pick back to him. The site shows me with no 3rd round picks now.

That makes it even worse.... at least before you could claim ignorance, now you're just an :idiot:!!

J/K by the way

I hear ya. If you think Barber will be a perennial Top 10 back for the next 4/5 years than it's a fair deal. He's young enough to still be a long term value and his under-performance thus far would mean a lower salary in the future.

I just happen to think Barber will be in an RBBC and would rather keep the 3rd and take my chances on one of the rookie RBs. We value Barber differently and that's how it is in fantasy football. If everyone valued each player the same no trades could get done.

So now we'll just wait and see who's right... and I'm willing to wager I'll be. ;)

Just pissed that I was never contacted for a possible deal. Next time let me know if you have a deal brewing, I'm always willing to make a deal and I could either bring you a better deal or force the other guy to give you a better deal. In the end, I get to feel special and that's what it's really all about.

Glad to have you on board.

We don't use the Website to track rookie picks...Matt keeps this all in order, which is why we post trades dealing with draft picks with the Draft icon...if that isn't updated properly before rookie draft starts, bring this up again...I just posted the pick on the website so that it showed something going both ways...

Does it help you all having the rookie picks be accurate on the website? If so, I can get them in synch.

Yes. That's where I always check.

Yeah, it's all an opinion. I like to make moves...some have worked, some haven't. Why play in dynasty leagues unless you want to take chances? I understand it's also nice to have "prospects" to sit on...but it's fun to deal as well.

With the general success of the rookie RB class last year, I just don't see a lot of places that many of incoming rookie RBs will get a lot of solid playing time next season (my opinion...but it's way too early to know).

Also, after looking at my current RBs, I was intrigued by the chance to get (what I consider) a high end RB. Especially since I didn't have the cap space to get any of them in RFA.

Re: The Gunslingers did the Mash....they did the Monster Mash

Well, it wasn't a complete bonehead move..Barber has proven himself to be a stud..Choice and Jones have not...some people in this league put too high a price on rookie picks here....but if you hit one good one, you definitly strike gold...well certain positions, as I have found, 1st round QB's who are studs are not value picks at all.....

Also, I'll go ahead and synch up the website draft picks soon....
