Playoffs
 

Well, it looks like the playoff teams are almost set. Only the last WC team is up in the air, with Dos Clowns in drivers seat. If Clowns wins, they are in. If they lose, then it would go to tiebreaker...depending on how many teams are in, could be hairy....

Current Seedings:

Hold that thought..I guess Bloodsuckers still has a shot to win tonight, with Gore going. If they win, then they would be in drivers seat to take final spot...

If Bloodsuckers wins tonight, both Clowns and they will be at 6-7..all other contenders are at 5-8....as Bloodsuckers beat Clowns in Heads up, they have the tie breaker and will be WC if both win this weekend, or just Bloodsuckers...

If Blood loses and Clowns win, Clowns are in.....

Now if both Clowns and Blood loses, and both Hunters and Scorpions win, then all 4 will be tied at 6-8...H2H eliminates Blood and Scorpions, so it would come down to Total Points, which as of today, favors Hunters...

This is how I see it....any other combinations will have to be looked at Monday night....

So that's what it comes down to? About 5 broken legs and the Hunters could win this thing? The only thing I was looking forward to was where do I pick in the draft.

Did we agree on something that doesn't put the three division winners as the top three seeds?

If so that means a division winner and the league's leading scorer is seeded as a wild card team?

Yep..since adding extra WC teams, we also changed seeding to be based on record alone

So, with Bloodsuckers loss last night, things get pretty hairy if Clowns loses.

If Clowns win, Clowns are in.

If Clowns lose, then the following scenarios are in play:
1) If Hunters, Scorpions and Bloodsuckers lose, Clowns are in
2) If Hunters and Scorpions lose, and Bloodsuckers win, Bloodsuckers are in
3) If Hunters and Bloodsuckers lose, Clowns are in
4) If Scorpions and Bloodsuckers lose, and Hunters win, Hunters are in
5) If all three win, then Clowns and Hunters will have best head to head, and it will come down to total points. Currently Hunters is 95.3 ahead of Clowns
6) If Hunters and Scorpions win, and Bloodsuckers lose, then Clowns are in
7) If Hunters and Bloodsuckers win, and Scorpions lose, then all 3 would be 1-1 in H2H, so it would come down to points. Bloodsuckers is 94.45 points ahead of Hunters, and 189.75 ahead of Clowns
8) Scorpions has no shot

But that was based on a 4 team playoff. Where's the talk of it when we went to a 6 team playoff?

If it wasn't discussed when we went to 6 teams, we need to revisit this in the offseason.

I was for the MLB style (with 4 teams) but what was voted by majority works well for 4 teams but not for 6 teams.

I mean why do we even have divisions? If you win your division shouldn't you be rewarded with a top 3 seed?

I can see your point Patrick, but we did do it this way last year also, and no one objected. Scott won your Division, but was the #5 seed.

We should have brought it up after we expanded I guess. If we have overwhelming agreement it should go back to how it was, and looked at again in the off season, I will adjust the seedings accordingly. My personal feeling is we should leave it as the rule states, and revisit it in the off season to see if we want to go back to the way it was.

Even with only 4 teams, a division winner can be #4 seed, so obviously the majority felt this was the fair way.

I guess I never realized the seedings last season since I didn't make the playoffs. I thought these would have been discussed when we expanded the playoffs, but I can't find where we talked about it.

We can't change rules mid-season, but I would like to bring this up for discussion in the offseason.

Hunters leads Greatshepski by 55.5 points
- Hunters has no one left tonight

Floyds leads Scorpions by 37.75
- Floyds has no one left tonight

Bloodsuckers leads Tommyknockers by 1.4 points
- Bloodsuckers has no one left tonight

Should be exciting.....Wild card and two division winners on the line....

Erm, um....not sure what I was looking at, but Clowns beat Hunters in their only matchup this year, so sorry Bobby, but Clowns still are in....oops....

Maybe someone else should confirm?

Yep, pretty sure that's right. It looks as if the Clowns beat the Bounty Hunters in week 2.
