CUT QB Stephen McGee Dal from PS (4/215)

Please cut Mr. McGee from the PS. He will never be ROMO!!!!! He has never been promoted to Active Roster.

I would like to place a claim if that is allowed

I guess I missed this...did you keep room for him Matt?

I did not keep room for him since I figured I did not get him (either too late with the claim or someone else beat me to him). I could make room for him if that option is available. Let me know.

Well, since you didn't declare where he would go, it would be assumed he would go to your TS...if you did not make room for your rookies drafted this year, and this addition puts you over, then you would be penalized with loss of your last draft pick...

So since you are the ultimate keeper of your roster, this is how I believe it should be handled....

Comments?

I am not sure I follow. If I was never awarded him why would I need to make room for him or be penalized now? I noted that I would like to make a claim if it was allowed. Since there was no response I figured it was not allowed. If I had been awarded him I would have dropped someone from my PS to make room (likely would have been Shawnberry McNeal).

Well, not sure why you did not think it would be allowed...rules state Claims can be made within 24 hours in-season, and 72 hours off-season. This was off-season, but even in season, you were within the 24 hours. I guess the only grey area is whether a claim made on DS player defaults to claiming teams TS, or Active.

There is a lot going on here, and as I have said before, I cannot be expected to keep up to the minute with everything that goes on...each teams roster is his own responsibility.

I am willing to listen to others comments, but the rules are clear as to who can be claimed in what time period...

Re: CUT QB Stephen McGee Dal from PS (4/215)

I was not sure if there was an issue with the year he was drafted as I thought we had rules for how many guys could be added to the PS by year and that was where I intended to put him. Also, when I posted I was not sure if anyone with a higher claim was going to post. To be honest with all that was going on a forgot about it and since it was never marked as sold/awarded when I was pulling together my roster I forgot to follow-up.

Can I just rescind my claim at this point? If not, do I get him and lose my final draft pick?

Right, only players you draft are allowed to be placed on your PS...so that was definitely not an option.

I don't mind allowing you to rescind...we all get confused on the rules at one point...

I would like to hear from others on this though before deciding...

Sounds like people do not object..lets just go ahead and rescind the claim, and leave things as they currently stand...
