Supplemental Draft 2011

OK, looks like we will need to hold a Supplemental Draft again this year...

Please review our discussion on this from last years draft:

http://www.predsff.com/forums/showth...t=Supplemental

The crux of the discussion is the player is DS eligible for this year, and you are only allowed 2 PS slots each year, so if a 2012 5th or 6th round bid it made, he would be PS eligible this year, and would take one of your two slots.

Let me line up a 3rd party email to take our bids...I will update this thread with email and date to submit by, but I would like to have it done before we declare our contracts/assignments

Re: Supplemental Draft 2011

Jim White, commish of Frenzy has volunteered to be the 3rd party we can email our bids to:

EMAIL Bids to: whitehome@hawaiiantel.net
Please put the following in the subject line: SAC'D Supplemental Draft.

We'll close bidding next Monday at 11:59pm EDT, to give everyone a chance to make their bid. Please verify that the draft pick you use, you actually still own. There have already been some 2012 draft picks traded.

Terrelle Pryor is the only player who was selected in NFL supplemental draft, thus he is the only one you can bid on.

Re: Supplemental Draft 2011

Two teams made a bid for the services of QB Terrelle Pryor.
The BLOODSUCKERS offered up at 3rd round pick in 2012...
While DISCIPLES OF THE 36 CHAMBERS offered a 5th round pick in 2012....

Pryor is awarded to the BLOODSUCKERS.

PS. Both owners also bid on Pryor in the Frenzy league... but Patrick's bid won out there (4th round pick!).

Re: Supplemental Draft 2011

So....looking at the rules, how do we determine the value of Pryor for this season? I don't see where this is outlined in the rules since we don't know what the exact pick will be until the end of the season. Of course I'm probably overlooking something right in front of my eyes.

His combine numbers are off the charts as a WR or TE. I don't have much hope for him as a QB, but if/when he converts to WR/TE we're talking about Calvin Johnson type measurable here.

I think he fits in well in the 3rd round:

Quote:

3.01 Greatshepski ----- Titus Young - WR DET ------ WR #9 ---------- 280
3.02 Devil Bay Hell Mutts ----- Johnny White - RB BUF ------ RB #12 ---------- 475
3.03 Bay Area Bloodsuckers ----- Kyle Rudolph - TE MIN ------ TE #2 ---------- 110
3.04 Minnesota Mashers ----- Bilal Powell - RB NYJ ------ RB #13 ---------- 465
3.05 Colorado Scorpions ----- Mason Foster - LB TB ------ LB #2 ---------- 130
3.06 Devil Bay Hell Mutts ----- Greg Salas - WR STL ------ WR #10 ---------- 255
3.07 Falcon Floyds ----- Taiwan Jones - RB OAK ------ RB #14 ---------- 450
3.08 East-West Tommyknockers ----- Rahim Moore - DB DEN ------ DB #1 ---------- 100
3.09 Colorado Scorpions ----- Jerrel Jernigan - WR NYG ------ WR #11 ---------- 240
3.10 Woodland Park Pencil Neck Geeks ----- Austin Pettis - WR STL ------ WR #12 ---------- 235
3.11 Glenside Gunslingers ----- Edmund Gates - WR MIA ------ WR #13 ---------- 230
3.12 Disciples of the 36 Chambers ----- Alex Green - RB GB ------ RB #15 ---------- 425
3.13 Woodland Park Pencil Neck Geek ----- Marcell Dareus - DL BUF ------ DL #1 ---------- 100

The way I am reading it, since the tie-breaker is based on this years rookie draft order, the salary should also be based on this years order...so since Bloodsuckers picked 3rd, it would be QB 3.3 = 320cb - reason being, he is on this years roster, should be this years CB's
==================================
The team willing to give up the highest pick would get the player(s), and in the event of a tie (where 2 or more teams submit the same round for any player) we would go by the current years rookie draft order for the picks listed to be forfeited in exchange for the player(s) with the highest pick being the winner.

1. If a player is selected through the supplemental draft his salary would be based on the pick that was given up for him. If pick 2.5 was the winning pick and the player is a RB his salary will be 520cbs.

It's worth the shot so I'm not too surprised but using combine numbers and measurables as basis for an argument doesn't hold much as you can find many players that had ridiculous measurements and number but didn't know how to read plays or run routes. James Hardy?

Yep and that's why I only risked a 3rd rounder for him. Look at the list of players drafted in the 3rd round this year in SACD.... I don't think Pryor looks out of place with that group.
