The Predators are pleased to announce the signing of Derrick Mason to step in as the teams 3rd WR. Management feels Derrick is a top 15 if not top 10 WR and are excited to team him up with Hines and Marty in our 3 WR set. The addition of a proven vet WR should help groom our young and exciting WR corps. We know Derrick has a track record of nagging injuries, but when healthy he's one of the best. We'll gladly roll the dice that his injury problems are in the past!
Veteran QB Brad Johnson (signed to an undisclosed multiyear deal last night) is also going to play a big role in developing our youngins as the new backup to Garcia. Mark Brunell will be put out to pasture as the scout team QB for the present time unless opportunity presents itself ;).
