I realize TE is a sparse position, but it seems a little crazy to make an undrafted free agent rookie the third highest paid tight end.

If a position is this valuable maybe we should be boosting the rookie salaries for drafted TEs...

Sure the 5 meaningless catches he has in preseason are nice and all.

Talk about High risk vs. unknown reward.

Salary at this stage does not always reflect the players proper value...in this case, it reflects the amount of money two teams have available, and the need of the teams...but 1500 is a bit much for me, so I think its time to bow out...

yes at some point, the disparity between proper value and salary exceeds common sense, unless you have more cap space than you know what to do with.

I guess Gunslingers doesn't have much faith in the mighty denver hype that is Julius Thomas.

I agree it's overpriced...but I also agree with Burt as "market value" doesn't really factor much at this stage of the offseason. If you have cap room, why not use it. More than likely you are using for position need and normally a one year deal.

With all of his injuries the past couple of years it was hard to get too excited. Last night was pretty impressive so let's hope he can keep it up!

In my friends and family Yahoo league, I went up against Sudfeld...and he outscored my TE. Sudfeld 0, Pettigrew -0.40
