Tuesday March 31st at 11:59pm - 2014 Soft Cap Period Ends
Wednesday April 1st at 12:00am - 2015 Hard Cap Period Begins & 4th year Taxi Squad members rollover to Active Squad.

Monday April 6th at 12:00am- 2015 RFA Bidding Opens
Thursday April 30th at 11:59pm - 2015 RFA Bidding Closes

Monday May 11th at 12:00am (the 2nd Monday in May each year) - 2015 Rookie Draft Begins

Monday June 1st at 12:00am - this date will also be somewhat flexible in that as it would not open until 48 hours after the rookie draft has been completed - Opening of the 2015 UFA period

Monday August 31st at 12:00am - Opening of 2015 Injured Reserve

Monday August 31st at 11:59pm - End off Off-Season Free Agency - Contract Years Declarations Due, Rookies and UFA's must be declared for Taxi/PS/Active Roster squads, Minimum roster requirements must be met.

Tuesday September 1st at 12:00am - Start of In-Season Free Agency

Saturday October 31st at 11:59pm - End of Hard Cap Period

Sunday November 1st at 12:00am - Start of Soft Cap Period

Wednesday November 25th at 11:59pm - Wednesday prior to week 12 games - Frenzy Trade Deadline

Any chance we could push back the start of the RFA bidding? I am going to be out of pocket on Easter week and I have a lot of holes to fill (and should have a good bit of money to spend). I don't want to screw up the timeline but could the bidding start on 4/4/15 (instead of 4/1/15) as we should be getting home over the weekend and I would hate to find all the top players had already sold.

I would be good with April 6 start. I will be in NYC March 31 - April 6 for the Easter/Passover holiday.

4/6 as the RFA start date this year would be fine with me. I'd suggest the end date remains as 4/30 though.

The 4/31 caught my eye too, one of my dad's co-workers got screwed years ago when he excepted a check dated February 29th in a year that was not a leap year. It was for like $100K from a company in Europe and I don't think they ever got all it back.

Please have all your cuts in by Tuesday March 31st 11:59pm EST. I will create new MFL site and begin moving over rosters on Wednesday through the weekend. New site should be up and ready to roll by the time RFA bidding starts.

When do we want years assigned to our new players? Do we do it all together as in after RFA, the rookie draft, and UFA so it is only once a year? Just checking...because it seems weird that my new player Tate is hanging out there with no years assigned...

It's a little hard to find in the rules...we really should add it under Key Dates section also - but here it is:

The deadline for the announcement of the length of the contracts of players picked up in free agency or the rookie draft will be August 15th each year by midnight (the night before the start of the In-Season Free Agency period which begins on August 16 each NFL season). No player can be traded unless his contract years are declared BEFORE the trade is announced.

Yep. It's basically after just about all of the off-season acquisitions are complete. The RFA period... the Rookie Draft... and much of the UFA signing period. It also gives us a couple/three weeks of preseason games & practices to get a sense of where our rooks & new acquisitions are in the pecking order. SO... we can make a more informed decision on contracts.

Contract declarations and whatnot are due the day after the 3rd week of pre-season games (excluding the HOF game), thus for the 2015 season that will be Monday August 31st.

Quick question: Shouldn't Injured Reserve open after End of Off-Season Free Agency? Or has it always opened 24 hours before declarations are due?

I you look at the times in the key dates I have IR opening at 12:01am whereas declarations are due by 11:59pm at the end of the day. That's your 24 hour window.
