Some last minute free leagues at Xpertleagues
 

Guys, there are some last minute free leagues opened up at xpertleagues. It is a this year only deal but if got the time this week to do it, might be worth it. Here is Red's text


Ok, here is what I've got for you guys. This is probably not going to be something that I do in future years, but I do have some unused room on the servers so I might as well give away some leagues.

Ok, here is the concept. Since I am giving away the leagues, I will not allow you guys to enter in your own scoring / roster settings, they will be set by me and that will be your only option.

What are Scarcity Leagues?

These type of leagues try to remedy what is killing the fun of FF for many people, which is the lopsided love of RBs that most have versus all other positions. To do this the starting lineup will be as follows:

2 QB, 3 RB, 4 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1DT

Roster size is 22 players to allow for some fluidity in the free agent market. All leagues will use non conditional blind bidding, and will have a standard set of rules as will be described later (no surprises, your standard 4 pt pass TD, 1 per 25 yard pass, 6 point all other TD, 1 point per 10 yards rushing / receiving) etc.

If you want to show your appreciation for my giving away these leagues, the best thing you could do for me is to invite people who have never been to this site before to join a Scarcity League, though of course they will be open to anyone (within reason).

Some time tomorrow I will start setting up the leagues, until then leave your name here. You can organize yourself into leagues in the meantime if you would like, 12 owners to a league.

Oh and BTW for you folks in contract leagues, Red will get his auction system going next year and will talk to him about incorporating what is needed for contract leagues. No promises but it is strong possibility.

Anyhow, went to the site but saw no mention of the scarcity leagues.

When is Red opening them up?

scarcity leagues.

Okay if interested keep checking in over there. RIght now folks need to volunteer to commish one and then invite folks and such.

So it will be FCFS or Preds or anyone else can certainly step up and commish one.
