PASSES 8-3-1 (4x2x2 IR system) - Rule Proposal - Changes to the IR Rules
 

Proposals are on the table to change IR rules as discussed in THIS thread.

Options up for vote are as follows:

OPTION 1 - Change IR to minimum 2 weeks, player must then be IR eligible or it I'll extend an addiitional 2 weeks, and will continue to need to be eligible every 2 weeks or player must be activated. If a non-eligible player is not activated within 1 week of no longer meetingIR eligible state and a 2 week period has expired, the player will be considered cut and exposed to waivers and standard cap penalties. For shorthand this is a 2x2x2 type system.

OPTION 2 - Same system as above only start with a 4 week minimum followed by 2 week renewals. For shorthand this will be a 4x2x2 system

OPTION 3 - No changea to existing rules

NOTE - A Master IR eligibility thread will be posted each year to track eligibility of players placed on IR and will be maintained by Chuck (CHi-Town Cards).

I would prefer 4x4x4, but voted for 4x2x2 since I'm not sure how much I be able to check in until next week.
