If Dalton is awarded to me do I get the option to assign contract years or do i get him for one year?

Because he was cut, the default is one year. Had we communicated prior to the cut, I could've assigned up to 5 years and traded him to you.

I do believe it is allowed as long as the 24 hour claim period has not passed, and it has not.

Bids can't be retracted. Not sure on Waiver Claims as the rules don't cover it. I'd think it should be the same as a bid, but Commish can make a call. I have no recollection of past any past precedence on waiver claim retractions.

Since this is a "just getting to know the system" kind of retraction (and you thought you could change the number of years, but now realize you can't), I'll allow it.
If it was a "I've changed my mind" retraction, then I'd say no. A bid is a bid. A claim is a claim.

So yah... this one time I'll allow the claim to be retracted.
