New Owner

Hey there other owners....

It's been abundantly clear to myself, as I am sure it has been to you that I'm no longer in a position to give a dynasty team such as this the attention it deserves. I bet that I successfully got a lineup set in less than 50% of the games this year. Both in this league for 10$/year or the other non-dynasty draft league I was in r for 300$/year (I ended dead last). I wasn't able get logged into the forums for weeks or even months at a time, making it nearly impossible to bid on a FA. I'm sure I've missed trades and roster moves that I would have like to make. I have no reason to believe I am going be in a better spot to participate any time soon either. So with that in mind, I am both bummed and determined to pass this team off prior to the start of next season to a new owner. If anyone knows someone that would be a good addition to this community let me know. I also know a few very dedicated fantasy fans in Minnesota I can reach out to as well.

Hey Sam. Sorry to see you go man, but understood. This is not an easy league.

If you have someone in mind, that understands the time needed to make a good owner, please email me names. I think the current owners have exhausted most of their resources.

Other owners, anyone in mind? Speak now or we'll go with Sam's buddies who are willing....

How hard is it to pick up the IDP aspect? I've never played in a league with that. If it's going to be a big learning curve, I'll pass.

Jim, I'd go in it with you together if you want. Don't know current IDP at all, but with a partner I'd be game.

Nice!!! welcome aboard.

Here is MFL website:
http://www54.myfantasyleague.com/2019/home/17426#0

Gimme an email address to tie to the team and I can switch the team over, so you both have access...not sure how to add two owners...Maybe Bryan has some insight, as he and Alan ran Dos Clowns for a while...

Mike texted me, and I will try to come up with a rules difference between Frenzy and SAC'd.

IDP are just like any other position...just gotta do a bit more research. LB are the QB's of DEF - they score a good percentage more than the other two positions, due to more tackles. DB's are the RB/WR, and DL = TE.

I think we can put everything under Jim's email since he'll be lead on the team and I'll just login with the same credentials.

The biggest differences he and I need to get up to speed on are the restructured contracts, which Frenzy doesn't have, any scoring differences between SACD and Frenzy, and of course the IDPs.

I played in SACD the first couple years when Skippy, Doggler and myself (along with a few others) founded the league, but that was literally 15 years ago, so it's pretty much new to me again LOL!

OK, Jim, you using your regular email -the gmail account?

Myself, Pat and Matt are also founding members - I don't recall if Dale or Bryan joined that first year, but they came on board fairly soon after its initial season if not.

As for renegotiations, you can reneg any player who shows on MFL (or the Spreadsheet) who is currently at 2 years - before the contract rolls over.
Simply add 300cb to their current contract, and however many years you want to take them to. Say you want to extend a 1000cb/2 year contract to 5 years. It would take them to 1300cb/5 years. When the contract rolls over , the contract will go to 1430cb/4yrs.

If you trade a player with 1 year left currently, the team that gets the player in a trade can renegotiate their contract by adding an additional 150cb.

OK so renegs are a flat rate regardless of position? I presume it's most often used either via the trade route or for skill position RB/WR/TE's more than others?

Sorry I forgot who else was part of the founding season, it was so long ago, I remember Skippy and Doggler. Will be fun to be in a league with Doggler again.

IDP is fun...it's just different from team defense...I have played it for years in my seasonal Yahoo league...you will get the hang of it quickly...puts a nice premium on returners who actually perform returns...

You are correct sir on the flat rate. And also, that we don't get a lot of renegotiation on CB, DL, TE or PK.

We also have 1 Franchise tag per team each year. After Bobby franchised JJ Watt multiple years in a row, we passed new rule that a player cannot be franchised in consecutive years.

Re: New Owner

For what it's worth, I am willing to help out with some initial advice on the team. My problem has been that every year Football is in Q4 of the year. And as I've gone further into my career, more and more that becomes a period of time where I have less and less time. Especially with something outside of work that requires day to day attention.

I'm glad the team is going to a good home though. I feel like it had way too much talent on it to end the way it did this year.
