We were looking to free up some cap space and in need of a RB.
We have depth at WR so thought we let Evans go.

The Preds look forward to seeing the Brady-Evans hookup develop. We realize his numbers will likely be down in 2020 since Brady's arm isn't what it once was, though we do feel Evans will make him look good. Evans gives the Preds an elite big play WR to compliment the steady weekly production from Mike Thomas, Amari Cooper and AJ Brown.

With the #Buccaneers our :homer: #NFC team, it's always nice to have another player to root for a team you follow.

Best of luck with Gordon and Westbrook. I think Gordon in particular is going to have a very good year in with the #Broncos.

As I said in the Rostee App thread, I forgot Dede was on the TS and was thinking I was trading away 4 years and taking on 2. I was also looking at things from my 2020 planning spreadsheet (where I already had Dede moved up to Active since he wouldn't be eligible for TS in 2020) without looking at the 2019 app. My fault, stupid off-season mistake.

I just cut Cole Beasley to be in compliance, but Jim will have to decide what additional penalties apply. This is what happens after a long hiatus and trying to get back in to swing of things. Stupid stupid off-season mistake and focusing on 2020 without thinking of any potential impact on 2019.

I’m leaning towards clemency at this period. Mike has made a cut to get in compliance. Not feeling like being the heavy on additional penalties.

If others want to take umbrage, I’ll listen. But that’s where I am now.

Just out of curiosity, since this has been decided...what is the penalty (for the rest of us) when you get in compliance 4 days after move completed???

Well... I like to say that I look at every situation as a unique entity.
I know you didn't ask specifically for my rationale, here it is anyway:
In this case, given the COVID-19 "stand down" period we were in... and given the fact that Mike made a cut (albeit multiple days late)... and since it was not in-season and the players traded didn't have a direct impact on any standings... THEREFORE, I reasoned that grace & leeway was warranted. So, just the player cut would suffice.

HOWEVER... if this was on-season, and the identical situation happened... and given there were no extenuating circumstances (which I vow to look at on a case-by-case basis)... it would have been a much more difficult situation. Invalidating the trade wouldn't have been fair, since it was only Mike's team that was not in compliance. So there would have had to have been a cut of a player, and a 30-day ban on Mike bidding on that cut player. Probably a cap hit as well. I'm honestly not sure if the rules state HOW we decide which player to cut (would it have been one of the traded players or a player that had already been on his roster).

This is a GREAT question... one that we should probably try to figure out before it comes up again mid-season.

I haven't consulted the rulebooks on this, folks... so just going off the top of my head. I'm open to correction or other insight people may have.
