Over the Salary Cap - Wiener Dogs and Clowns
Roster app shows Wiener Dogs 2005cbs over and Clowns 529cbs over the salary cap. Please check the app in case I missed something. If not, penalties will apply...not sure what yet...however, we may want to put Russell Gage bidding on hold

Looks like you have him listed as soft cap hit, but not removed from main roster.

Re: Over the Salary Cap - Wiener Dogs and Clowns
Pat... If the Devin White trade put the Clowns over the cap, what will happen with the trade. Do I need to consider White coming back to the Pirates or will there be time for Bryan to get things back in line with the Salary Cap?

Re: Over the Salary Cap - Wiener Dogs and Clowns
Wiener Dogs are all good. I probably looked at that half a dozen times but it didn't register that I forgot to remove Thomas from active.

Re: Over the Salary Cap - Wiener Dogs and Clowns
So right now the Devin White trade wouldn't be valid/final until Clowns make room on their roster. Technically, he'd still be on Pirates roster but no issues there as cap and space are available...for now.
Does that sound right to everyone? Other thoughts? Thanks! |
Re: Over the Salary Cap - Wiener Dogs and Clowns
Seems like it should be a valid trade, just moves/penalties might apply to Clowns. I don't see how it wouldn't be as a trade is a trade. It's not Pirates fault and would suck to make moves only to see some time later that a trade from a few weeks ago wasn't valid.

Re: Over the Salary Cap - Wiener Dogs and Clowns
Per rules...
If a player in question which puts a team over any of the caps, was acquired via trade, the team over the cap should notify the league of the corrective action (release of particular player) during the 24 hour time limit the Rules Committee has to review the trade. If a team is over any of the caps after 24 hours of a trade confirmation, and corrective action has not been posted, the Rules Committee will veto the trade, send the players back to their original teams, AND impose the corresponding salary cap penalties. The players will not be released into free agency, but the offending team(s) salary cap will be punished. With the late notice, will Bryan have a little time to correct before trade is Voided or Penalties apply? |
Re: Over the Salary Cap - Wiener Dogs and Clowns
Pat, Clowns cut Baker Mayfield here:
http://www.predsff.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34561 You still show him on the APP. There is also discrepancy with DJ Moore (MFL salary 1800, App 2052) and Josh Allen (MFL 494, App 569) I will try to check those discrepancies here soon |
Re: Over the Salary Cap - Wiener Dogs and Clowns
I calculated wrong on both Moore and Allen. After adjusting to proper salary, I show Clowns is 44cb over the cap.

Re: Over the Salary Cap - Wiener Dogs and Clowns
Guess I didn't factor in the almost $1000 in rookie bonuses. I'll make a cut now to get under the cap.

Re: Over the Salary Cap - Wiener Dogs and Clowns
I had Mack cut as 2021 hard cap instead of soft cap. Adjusting that and adding Mayfield cut, app shows 90cbs over the cap. MFL list the same 90cbs over cap. Burt, I think you were looking at years total (44).

Looks like we are all good on Clowns roster now. Thanks all!
