Championship Game

After Monday's scary incident involving Damar Hamlin and with games proceeding as scheduled for week 18, we should probably decide on how to handle players in week 17's Bills vs Bengals game, if possible with MFL. If the game is rescheduled, we should continue as normal, but here are a few thoughts if the game is cancelled:

1. Rely on MFL. Go with the route that MFL decides.

2. Leave as-is. Points stand as-is.

3. Week 18 points. Use week 18 points for Bills and Bengals players to determine final score.

4. Season average. Use season average for Bills and Bengals players to determine final score.

5. MFL projected points. Use MFL's projected points for Bills and Bengals players to determine final score.

6. Split championship. If season average or MFL projected points puts difference within 10 points, split the title.

Any other thoughts?

Re: Championship Game

As I said in Frenzy, I like option 6, or perhaps an option to submit lineups for week 18 and combine the totals in addition with either season average or MFL projected for Bills/Bengals players for week 17?

Re: Championship Game

I'm not in the championship game, but my suggestion in another league where I am playing in the championship game was to use the platforms projection to determine the points for Bengals/Bills players (if not rescheduled) and add week 18. It does put me at a detriment in that league as the other team had higher projected points than mine for their Monday night players and I only had a 7 point lead before the Monday night game. It seems like the fairest way to go based off the matchups. I do like the idea of a split championship if points are close as well. So to me, Option 6 looks good.

I would vote on going with whatever MFL decides to do.
I imagine NFL is either going to have the game finish the game, or completely replay it before playoffs start

I'm good with option 6. or any of the options.

Just glad to hear that Hamlin is awake and looking better. Still critical, but signs are looking favorable..

Re: Championship Game

MFL removed their projected points for week 17, so that eliminates #5 and makes #6 based on season average

Re: Championship Game

I say call it.
If the commissioner and Patrick agree, the K9 Zombies are happy to split the 2022 championship with the Disciples of the 36 Chambers.

We will take a solo championship next season. #Pirate

Re: Championship Game

Reading the Frenzy thread, I did not think of the draft order. I will leave that up to the commissioner to make a call on who gets picks 11 and 12.

I will go with whatever is decided - especially if the Zombies get 11 #Wink

Re: Championship Game

I'm agreeable to a split title in Frenzy, it's up to Rick there.

I say both leagues go with a split title and that the 4 teams put a donation together in the name of each league to Damar Hamlin's foundation. So happy to hear about the significant improvements in his health today and that he's awake. Such great news when the worst was feared. Amazing job by the medical teams.

Re: Championship Game

I'm good with split. As for draft, I say base it on tournament seeding which would give Zombies #11 and 36 Chambers #12.

Re: Championship Game

The NFL officially announced the game will be declared a no-contest and won't be replayed. Bills and Bengals will only play a 16 game season and the AFC Championship may be held at a neutral site depending on who wins or loses this week.

Re: Championship Game

Unless someone disagrees, we will have a 2022 co-championship between Zombies and 36 Chambers. Zombies will have the #11 draft pick and 36 Chambers the #12 draft pick based on playoff seeding (#4 and #3 respectively).

That works for me. Thanks for coming to mutual decision. Great job all...see you next season...

nice solution.

Re: Championship Game

Is there still a way to settle the draft order by form of competition? If so I suggest Sumo Wrestling.

If we can't get them to Sumo wrestle for draft position, I guess I would be ok with the solution. #Laugh&Cry
