Are you thinking of renegotiating his contract? I do not see a timing window in the rules, so I am thinking you have until contract rollover to take advantage of the 150cb bump.

Renegotiations as part of a trade should be announced within a reasonable time after the trade is agreed upon. If team is unsure of renegotiation as part of trade, then the trade shouldn't be agreed/finalized until the team is sure. It doesn't seem right to allow for an extended time window to decide on renegotiation as part of a trade. To me that is part of the trade process since there is a benefit in the form of reduced renegotiation increase as part of a trade deal.

Reneg as part of trade...is part of the trade deal and should be declared within a reasonable time. A week or longer seems to be too long IMO.

Rules state that a trade is finalized after 24 hours. At some point the reneg is part of the trade or it isn't.

No worries Matt - it was the "at this time" that we were wondering about.
Agree with Patrick, that even though it doesn't explicitly state a reneg should be done in the 24 hours, it is implied.
