The Opihi have 72 hours to match or decline the Swords winning offer sheet of 1540cb's on Joe (gotta call my momma) Horn.

On a sidenote, my Predators had an interest, but once Joe eclipsed Wards salary and jumped into the top 5 paid WR's we had to drop out for the sake of keeping the peace at home hehe. Thanks for playing along Patrick, you helped me meet my goal of knocking Ward outta the top 5 ;).

It is with much regret and sadness that the ROYAL HAWAIIAN OPIHI bid a fond "aloha" to Mr. Joe Horn. He's been an OPIHI for as long as the current managment has been in control... he's than carried the team on more than one occasion... but with his current salary, we feel like the time is right to part ways (oh yah, and that supplimental first round pick helps ease the parting).

We hereby officially do NOT match the offer sheet.

Whew. I am glad that is settled, I had a feeling that my compensatory pick was going to be the last one from the first round. However, it looks like McNabb went for $10 more above his tender than Horn making the first round supplemental picks:

Um, according to my records... McNabb sold for 1450, and Horn for 1540... that would move me up a notch, Matt.

Okay... just read the rules... guess you're right, Matt. Strange. McNabb wins because he had a 100 cb lower tender starting price.

Based on previous draft picks... I'm sure whomever you have targeted will be different from who I have for the end of the 1st round... so we both should be fine, Matt! :toast:
