Re: Review CDL contract extentions.

To summarize the CDL Process

If a player has 2 years or more on his contract he can be extended. He gets a predefined raise the current season (we would need to determine the number)

If a player has 1 year left on his contract he cannot be extended unless he is traded to another team who would have the right to resign him, but it needs to be done at the time of the trade.

Does anyone disagree with this? We should vote because it seems like everyone agrees...Let's put it to rest.

Well, only 5 of 12 have chimed in thus far... I think we can give it a day before we start votes.

I will add that I'm in favor of implementing this, so that's 6 of 12 now.

Do we want to determine the exact amounts of the increase before we vote on it, or are we just going to vote yes/no and deal with the specifics later?

Re: Review CDL contract extentions.

I would say pick a # now.

10% or 150cbs?

I thought 10% and 300cb, and 5% or 150cb for the two types were more in line with the current Frenzy salary scale (at least based on a straight percentage).

You might want to explain what CB (contract bonus) is to all. That is not part of the CDL. I read it in the frenzy rules, but maybe the others haven't yet.

Actually, cb is just shorthand for Cyber Bucks - the currency in the Frenzy.

Oops... I guess I was :IconDrink @ the time... just shows, I have no clue then.
Guess I will have to reread the rules.

valencia - it is the same as CDL, just different increase amounts

Re: Review CDL contract extentions.

once again, I agree for the initial year, then if there are issues, we can adapt next off-season.
vote me in!

Re: Review CDL contract extentions.

Once again:
Contract renegotiation: Only for players with 2 years remaining in their current contract: Can only be done once per player with the same team.
Can only extend length of contract during renegotiation - cannot shorten.
Renegotiation will increase salary as well:
See poll at the top for salary increase vote.

* Personal Note * I think they should be a little higher to increase chances for trades...

Once again, if there is no majority, I will take top two and have new poll.

Re: Review CDL contract extentions.

Did I miss something? I thought the CDL had two different extension costs. Those for players on your roster with more than one season left on their contract (which was 10% or a flat min, whichever higher) and another for players who are traded in their last year (which was 5%, or a flat amount whichever higher). I thought we were doing that here as well.

Re: Review CDL contract extentions.

Okay, rookie in control. Actually brain is getting very tired (and multitasking my real job). Once again, I did not specify.

This poll is on if you want to renegotiate the players on your own team...that have greater than one year left.

I will create another poll for the value we should set the renegotiation for when a player is traded to you (which is less in CDL)

Yes, in CDL, it's 5% or $1 mil for traded -- 10% or $2 mil for renegotiating those already on your team.
