Re: Skippy and Preds LAST SECOND trade

yeah. trade of galloway made him expendable.

but at least i got to use him 1 week and he actually made a difference and helped me win.

Okay, so where are all the deals this year? Last year there was a frenzy (pardon the term since this is the SAC'd) of deals. Seemed like players were changing hands and getting new deals left and right. This year (thus far) not so much.

:Shrug, I haven't been contacted by anyone but you Matt, and obiously yo know I don't want to part with Chester.

But I have guys on 1 year deals that would be steals, ie. Jared Allen, and not a single inquiry.

Ya got me.

I leave at 4pm ET today too, so T-3hours for my squad to make a deal.

Re: Skippy and Preds LAST SECOND trade

Personally, I think with having gone through a second summer of free agency, and the year end deals last year have taken a good share of the talent off the market. Sure, there are some guys still out there, but I don't think things are as open at this point as I remember them being last year. The White division will most likely have the wild card, and three of the four teams are still gunning for that, but I think they have all recently made moves as well (at least minor?). The Thomas is decided, so not much is going to happen there. The Tillman is up for grabs too, but action isn't going on there for another reason.

I still think we'll have a bunch of deals at the end of March, but the current situation just doesn't lend itself to a big trading deadline frenzy. Now, if the standings looked like they do in the Frenzy, then we'd see some action.

I guess I meant "other reasons" instead of another reason. I was only analyzing based on putting myself in the owners' position there. If I was one of those teams, just looking at records and points to date, I wouldn't probably give up the farm for a player when it looks like there is really a bigger gap in the league than that right now. In the Frenzy, we have some great parity going on right now. One player can really change a team. But in SAC'D, we have a much larger difference in talent levels among the teams (IMHO), and that with the larger starting lineups mean that one player (outside of an LT, etc) won't make the same difference that it does in SAC'D. Thus, I think last minute trades wouldn't be as likely.
