I'm heading to the Bay Area in March... meet me out for a drink, or 2 or 3...
 

I just ticketed my flights to San Francisco for meetings in March. I'll be in San Fran Thursday March 2 through Tuesday morning March 6.

I have meetings during some of the days, but am totally free in the evenings (5pm on). I'd love to get together with some of my west coast ifriends, especially those of you in the Bay Area.

I'm staying downtown, either at the Rennaisance Parc 55 near Market, the Grand Hyatt, or the Westin (still debating where to book, half my meetings are at the Parc 55, the other half at the Moscone convention center. Debating if I'd rather stay at the same hotel as some of my meetings or get the heck away from those folks for the evenings... the Parc 55 is also closer to the Moscone, but the Hyatt and Westin are only about 5 blocks further out).

Anyhow, every evening is open for me, and I've also got free time Saturday afternoon, and all day Sunday. I'm working on convincing Brett (Valencia) into a winery road trip for the Sat/Sun time gap I have. I think I have him willing to commit (at least if I toss our toilet bowl matchup this weekend ;) j/k).

Frank, Joe, and anyone else in northern Cal or nearby, I'd love to meet ya in person and share a few drinks and some Frenzy or other FF war stories!

So how about it, can any of ya mark your calendars and hook up during that time period?

2007 my friend... 2007. That's the plan at least! Who knows, maybe we'll make the trip in 2006.

Hawaii will be a 2 week deal for us, a 1 week cruise around the islands on Norwegian, and 1 week on land at one of the Hilton resorts. I've got frequent flyer tickets lined up for all 4 of us to get there, about $2500 in credits towards a cruise from my Norwegian rewards cards (likely to cost about $3500) and a free week at one of the Hilton Resorts with my Hilton Hhonors points.

I just need to find some spending cash (we like to spend freely and do things we otherwise wouldn't or will rarely have the opportunity to do again when we travel). To give you an idea, we spent $8g in New Zealand / Australia when we went, and that excluded airfare which was provided for us!


The skeleton of a plan for Hawaii is shaping up, give me another year or so to save up the spending cash and we'll be out there to meet up with ya!

Anyhow, back on track... where are my California ifriends? Frank, Joe, Brett, Brent? C'mon boys, lets get a cornhole setup!

FYI cornhole is internet slang for a in-person meeting of ifriends.

Columbus Ohio is the place to be man - especially in the winter. We get bitter cold and no snow!!! Come visit! There is a nice Red Roof Inn down the street and I think I can talk them in to leaving the light on for you.

Flying US Airways through Charlotte.

United goes through Chicago (from Buffalo at least), so does American.

I'm definitely down for a few drinks. If you have time I'd definitely recommend going to Napa. It is simply gorgeous. Have you ever been to SF before?

Yes, I've been to Frisco before, but generally just stay downtown (di Alcatraz last time out).

Never had a chance to do the wine country, seruoisly hoping I can get Brett to do that for a day. Maybe a group of us could do that.

2007 in Hawaii... any idea what time of the year? We're looking to head to England for a month or so... probably from mid-june to mid-july... FYI. But nothing's set in stone.

Actually Christmas time 2006 or 2007 is also a consideration, or possibly April or August 2007

VEGAS! VEGAS!

I still intend on making a trip to Vegas at some point in 2006. Let's get this party planning started before I pick a date no one can make.

:bump for all my West Coast friends. I will be in SF NEXT month. I'd really like to hook up with you all.

Setting up some plans, exchanging cell numbers etc would be a good idea.

FYI, I will be in SF March 2-7, and EVERY evening is free.
