1.06 QB Matt Leinart - Arizona
 

I'm still glad the Raiders didn't pick him (perfer Vince Young) and I do believe he's a system QB, but he finds himself in a great system once again. Many considered him to be better than Palmer and he has turned out quite well.

With Fitz and Boldin (for the next decade), Edge (at least for his formative years), and Dennis Green (who knows how long) I don't see how this guy isn't a stud for years to come.

This was the guy I targeted at 1.6 all along and was satisfied with that route, thus foregoing any desire to pay a premium to jump up unless I got Reggie Bush, but after Mike picking Davis I knew I wanted to get another 1st rounder to nab him.

Had Leinart gone to the Raiders or anywhere else, I wouldn't have picked him and I would've choosen VY instead. But no one can argue with the system Arizona has in place and the youth at the WR spots.

I don't get the Leinert negativity. The kid can play. He wins. Simply put. System or not, he'll be good and play great. Behind Warner, he'll be playing this year too. I don't think Warner's completed a season since 2001, so his starting is all but guaranteed.
