Bad news from JB Hill
 

Listen all, I hate to do this, but I am going to have to drop out this year (and a team with so much promise too!).

I probably sound like a broken record along the lines of Preds and Rami, but I need to trim away some things in my life right now to make time for the right things. My wife and I were away for part of this week, just the two of us, and I had some good time to put thought into my decision. I know it's just FF, but I have a ton of fun and you guys are pretty much the classiest guys I've ever encountered in cyber world. I just can't keep up the right amount of time to do it in a good way, so I will be pulling out.

Most, if not all of you, will understand and I appreciate it. I will hang
around and check in once in a while, just to see how my dynasty team will make out this year (LJ for $1650 is a steal, so someone's getting a great team) and also to keep you agnostic's in line ;-). I will stay on until we have a new owner to take my place.

Sorry to see you go Mike. I enjoyed our off season discussions, but of course I understand the decision. Most of us have either already been there, or will be there at some point. I was there too.




I do have a friend who was tempted when we had openings in the Frenzy and SAC'D earlier. I'll see if he is tempted again.

Mike, I FULLY understand your decision. I poke my head back once and a while (I'm sure Steve - Highlanders is upset about me moving LJ last year). I support you 100%. A stepping down does not mean leaving forever.

Talked to by local buddy. He's intrigued, and I'm going to talk to him and get a final answer tonight. He kicked my butt (hard to imagine, I'm sure) for 10 or so years in our local league, so once he gets up to speed with IDP and manging a roster so large, he would be a good owner.

I don't know Cheezy, and if that's who the majority want, that's cool too, but just trying to get someone I KNOW into one of these leagues. :D

Seriously, Brian, I'm cool with your friend based on your word alone, however, I've also played with Cheezy in CDL, and he is an intense, active, wisecracking ,knowledgable guy who would bring great smack and competition to my division! I know he was pretty bumbed when CDL disbanded, so I guess lets see what Skippy has to say (assuming he talked with him yesterday). Cheezy is also familiar with cap leagues from his CDL days.

If both are interested, I guess we can have them draw straws, or maybe even a RPS duel. LOL

Do the owners care about their teams enough to build up rivalries and have good natured trash talk with each other?

Needed what I thought would be a top WR in Andre Johnson - who stunk up the joint. Picks and all were under what I should have asked for. Plus, at that point Priest was still playing and who'd thunk LJ would go off that way..
sorry man. trust me, I would have liked to have had him the rest of the season. Noah may not have walked off with the trophy if I kept him.
