Default Re: 2012 frenzy playoffs

Well, the results of playoff week one are in.
In the FRENZY BOWL bracket... the #6 seeded Preds saved their best offensive production for the playoffs, putting up 200 points against the Burners. Heck, the Burners 139 points was the lowest (go figure!) of all 4 championship bracket teams.
In the other quarter final game, the Swords recorded 148 points, AND STILL LOST! Yikes. Everyone in this bracket brought their A-game! So the Derby Car advance after their 159 output.

The semifinals are set: #1 Bad Dogs will host the #6 Preds... and the #2 Mosquitoes will host the #4 Derby Car.

In the TOILET BOWL bracket... the #6 Opihi, on a strong MNF performance from Aaron Hernandez, rack up 123 points (highest in the bottom bracket, but still would have lost to anyone in the champions bracket this week), and beat the Freedom (110) to move on to face the #1 seeded Scorpions.

And in what can only be seen as "poetic justice," the #4 Greatshepski... who was on the losing end of a 7-point home field advantage playoff game, held on to beat defending champion (and #5 seed) Chunks, 104.6 to 102.75... thanks to his +7 point advantage. RB Arian Foster needed a 22 point performance under the bright lights of MNF, but came up 2 points short. He'd been averaging over 24 points per game on the season, and it looked like the Chunks would pull this win out. But with the Texans falling behind quickly & needing to pass, pass, pass... Foster saw only 15 carries, when he'd been toting the rock, on average, 23 times per game this season. Greatshepski will face the #2 seed
Rabid Llamas in the semifinals.

What will week 2 bring? Stay tuned!
