Using your example...Nelson was under contract in 2008, 09, 10, 11 and 12. You are not going to apply a bonus to his 2013 contract, since his rookie contract expired in 2012. You applied a bonus to his 2012 contract based on his 2011 performance, and that was his last year of rookie contract.

So to answer your question, Jordy Nelson will not be subject to rookie bonus in 2013 salary
