Yah, seemed we were heading that way - I completely forgot about...but it was never put up for a vote, so no decision was really made. I get the extended part, but the rule also states "performance each year of their original rookie contract." That can be taken either way.
Not sure I see anything that implies a 5 year cap on bonuses.
Has this been done in the past? If we had implemented bonuses on renegotiated players, then we should continue. If not, I think we can't just implement it without a vote.
But I am definitely biased. It will definitely put a different spin on my RFA plans to take on close to 1K more in salary.
