The Derby Cars failed to make room under their salary cap to fit in McCants contract within 24 hours of their winning bid, and are thus assessed roster penalties as per the rules.

McCants remains a FA and the Derby Cars cannot bid for his services for 30 days.

Further they are assessed a cap penalty equal to 20% of the winning bid of 110.
