After I made my 3.02 selection, I was hoping to be able to pick up a potential NFL starting QB in the 4th round of the Frenzy draft. Wil Grier is that guy. I'm not going to tell you he's going to replace starting QB Cam Freaking Newton... but the aforementioned Newton is coming off of his 2nd shoulder surgery in as many years. Plus, Wil is getting all of the first team reps while Cam recovers in the preseason. Could he be a perennial NFL backup QB? Sure. At which case, I'm not out anything. But just like selecting Russell Wilson a few years back, the Opihi are hoping to nab a future QB gem.
