2021 Frenzy Schedule ***Please read and share your opinions!***
I've setup the 2021 schedule on MFL. The first 5 weeks have no byes, however, I personally don't care to have 5 division games in a row and propose that we instead utilize the 3 weeks where only 2 teams are on bye (weeks 8, 11, and 12) for the 2nd divisional games against each divisional opponent. The first Divisional games can be either weeks 1, 3 and 5 or 1, 2 & 3, or 2, 3 & 4, or 3, 4 & 5, or some other combo within the first 5 weeks without byes.
After thinking about it further, I think I prefer the idea of non-bye divisional games weeks in 1, 3 & 5, and then the 2nd divisional games in weeks 8, 11 & 12 (with just 2 teams on bye each of these weeks). This spreads the divisional games out a bit. This is currently how I've setup MFL. Of course if the consensus disagrees we can modify as to whatever format the league prefers.
As in past years I rotated the divisional opponents with the team played week 1 in the previous season rotating down to the 3rd week in the rotation and the others moving up a week.
I also did the same for non-division games. You should see first non-division opponent you played in 2020 moved to the last week of the season, while everyone else moves up a week. Non-Division games are currently scheduled for weeks 2, 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, 13 & 14.
Let me know if you notice any discrepancies. I know last year when I updated the team order it screwed up the rotation for a couple teams, and there wasn't anything I could do about it.
If you disagree with how I handled the divisional games, please speak up as to why and what alternative(s) you'd suggest. There is still plenty of time for us to discuss and make adjustments.
Please share your thoughts!
Thanks!
