Life gets in the way, and putting it on admins to updated the thread is too much to ask imo.

Now it does seem like it's usually a few hours that get people on this. What if we extend the grace period to 36 hours? Or by end of day (ET) on day grace period ends - for example, bid won at 6pm on the 1st so winner has until 11:59pm ET on the 2nd to make any moves.
