Hey David, according to the rules:
"Players can only be placed on the Practice Squad from the annual rookie draft, and only 5th and 6th round selections are eligible for the Practice Squad.
Players may not be traded from one teams Practice Squad to another teams. Players are only eligible for the Practice Squad of the team that drafted them."
