I knew I had a third point before (I should have finished my coffee and let the caffenine kick in). No matter where you end up (what your 6 picks are) you can trade to try and take advantage of the situation. In my scenario Team 1 picks at 1.1 and then not again for a while. Maybe pick 1.1 gets traded to someone with more moderate picks or for a future first rounder or whatever. Since everyone is aware of what is happening going in and no one is being forced to pick at any slot (as long as you can find a trade partner) I think the biggest part of luck is just picking good players. No matter where you select that is always a (the) challenge.
