I say if we are having a rookie draft this year we shouldn't change the the methodology the following season. Pick one methodology and use it for every successive season. Why screw with it the initial season and then change it for the next season?

Two points. First, the reason I ask if we had a two round serpentine, where would you want to draft is because I assume you would rather be drafting out of the 1 spot, or at least higher. With only getting two players, getting one of the best players is even more critical. We eliminate the serpentince aspect after the 2nd round to increase the value of the later 1st round picks. Is it perfect? No, but I find it far more equal than a straight serpentine. I think there are a number of people who want to draft high, and others who want to draft low in this scenario.
Secondly, no we are not doing a serpentine, or this method in future years. We do a straight draft, worst from first just like the Frenzy. We are doing something modified the first year because we have no records to go on to do our normal draft, and some (like myself) dont feel a straight serpentine is balanced for a rookie draft.
