2.1 RB Ryan Moats, Phil
The BDSC are happy to select RB
RYAN MOATS
Philadelphia Eagles
We're happy to add Ryan Moats to our young stable of RBs. Moats showed promise having a great sophmore and junior year at La Tech. Some were worried about his size being a factor but he measured a solid 5'8, 207 lbs. We felt Moats was the best RB left on our board with a dropoff after him. We saw some good talent at the other positions and hopefully it will still be there at 2.13 for us. Additionally Moats serves as insurance for the recently signed Westbrook.
From Footballfutures.com
Moats is an explosive rushing threat. He has excellent quickness and agility, and the speed to take it the distance. He is tough and willing to run between the tackles, and fights for extra yardage.
The biggest problem with Moats is his lack of size. He isn’t very big, and doesn’t pack a great deal of power because of it. He also hasn’t caught very many balls over his career. He’s had some nagging injuries that may become a bigger issue as he faces bigger and better competition.
