And I would argue that anyone who quotes the Bible as a source or justification for anything is furthering their own agenda.

In my opinion, taking any single quote and using it as a argument for anything is taking it out of context. I doubt there is a single issue that the Bible only discusses in one part, and not another. Everything is discussed more than once in the Bible, and I bet it contradicts itself on a great many things.

I can't wait until the Bible is used for justification to end prejudice against homosexuals, and see how the current readers of the Bible who disagree with that stance justify their current reading.
