I'm not going to make a stink about it but I think it makes a bad precedent. What is the difference between this and agreeing to a trade in January with the footnote that "it does not take effect until March 31 at which point the limits don't matter because contracts will expire the next day." I think it is abusing a loophole in the rules. But, if no one else sees it my way, then whatever.

Oops, you're right.
I was thinking today was the 31st. Then you are correct, teams need to stay under the cap and roster limits today.
I'm now under BTW (just barely though).
