"HATED" (all caps) is overstating it a bit, but I will admit it did have me worried for one specific reason: it was making a play to win this year, but I didn't think the rest of the roster was strong enough to make a really strong run for the 2002 crown. Griese and Boston have better potential for 2004-onwards, and I figured I could have better talent and depth up and down the roster to support them by then.
Holmes and Favre meant we had a better chance to win this year, but that meant I had to do some desparate things to try to get them support (like Isaac Bruce for $1800, trading next year's 1 for an extra high pick this year). Otherwise, the rest of my roster was so flat I didn't think Favre and Holmes would be enough to really get us beyond .500.
As for dropping Galloway, pity the poor fool who dropped him 48 hours before Rocket Ismail got his neck injury! (But you won't see me bad-mouthing Brant for advising me to pick up Jacquez Green, no sir!)
