However, rookies must be declared active or taxi prior to the end of off season free agency, or else they are release to the free agency pool. There is no holdover for rookies.
You could either release a player from your taxi squad and assign Zach Miller there, or you'll need to release a player from your active roster that would give you enough room to activate Miller prior to the end of off season free agency. Either way, one of these will need to be done prior to the end of off season free agency, or Miller will become a free agent.
