Actually, looking back, this is the Mutts 2nd offense this season (Derrick Ward being the 1st http://predsff.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11317).

As per the rules, an additional 10% cap penalty will be applied.

Roster Penalties (as referenced multiple times in this document) are defined as 1st offense, 20% cap release penalty and 30 day bid moratorium on player in question, 2nd offense, 20% cap release penalty, additional 10% of salary in question (no min or max), and 30 day bid moratorium on player in question, 3rd and additional offenses, 20% cap release penalty, additional 25% of salary in question, and 30 day bid moratorium on player in question. The rules committee will have the authority to apply the rules as appropriate.

These penalties will apply to the following roster infractions:

-Exceeding the 18 player roster limit

-Exceeding the 10,500cb salary cap

-Exceeding the 38 year salary year cap

Player in question will mean the specific player or players acquired which put the team over the cap.
