Maybe. Maybe not. Your point raises an issue that need to be thought about
: a toilet bowl will affect trade deadline decisions. It would probably have a tendency to dampen trading, as you point out - I'd have had more to play for this year. And it might make the worst teams even more likely to trade their stars: if you are out of it and so low that you look like you won't even have a real shot at the #1, then trading to improve for next year becomes even more pressing. Something to think about for those who don't like stars being traded to good teams at the deadline (I'm not in that group) - a toilet bowl would probably cut down on it.
