All good points Mike - I do agree that suspended players should be considered - seems to fit in with spirit of the rule...and I was not able to find precedence for this, other than the post I made above, which was not answered by the commish...

So whichever way Jim wants to go, I am ok with....I just wanted to point out what the rules currently state....

Man, we have had a lot of rule interpretation discussions this year...I guess we ended up with some awesome new owners for this league!!

How does the NFL handle a player on IR vs Suspended player, as far as roster spots are concerned?
