I think Burt's on the money here. Since there wasn't room to have him demoted back to the TS... and since the 24-hour window has passed... the only recourse is to have him released as a free agent, retroactive to the moment the 24-hour window passed. His contract does not have to have the "active to TS" cbs added, since he was never officially put back on the TS. All other penalties apply for a first-time offender.

You will, of course, have to register as a salary cap offender with the homeowners' association in your area, though, Burt. ;)
