2.11 QB Mac Jones, NEP proxy pick for Opihi

We welcome Heisman Trophy finalist Mac Jones to the team!
Yes, he's the ONLY first-round QB Belichick has ever drafted... but that's not what's most impressive.
Yes, word out of mini-camp is that he has a "swag" about him and is already throwing the best ball amongst the QBs... but that's not what's most impressive.
Yes, Chris Simms ranked him 8 spots ahead of fellow rookie Trey Lance, and calls Jones "the most NFL-ready QB to come out of college this year"... but even that's not what's most impressive.

What's most impressive to the Opihi management is his football intelligence.
Some have likened him to Tom Brady in how he analyzes the game.
Can he play like Tom Brady? Probably not. No one can.
But with Cam Newton already in the OPIHI fold, this was a no-brainer for us.
Playing behind that solid OL, it's only a matter of time before Jones is the starting QB for the Pats.

Now if only NE would trade for Julio... our perfect plan would move towards perfection.
