Schedule Changed!!!
Just a heads up... since we passed the "6 team playoff" format, we needed to change the schedule, so we can squeeze in a 3rd round of the playoffs, without having to play in the dreaded "week 17" slot!
SO... following the cue from the SAC'D league, I switched around the schedule. I took the week 14 games (divisional rivalries) and put them into week 11 for a double header week (one vs. outside division opponent, game two vs. division rival). Week 11 is the first week there are no NFL teams on byes. This now frees us up to start the playoffs in week 13 & still finish by week 16. Hope this is okay with everyone. |

Re: Schedule Changed!!!
This sounds good to me. Also, I know we talked before about eventually matching the SAC'd reneg process. Is this something we ever hammered out? I know the previous discussion was about when we would start that process since some teams were built for the current set-up. Anyhow, if we are going to need to wait for any length of time maybe we should discuss now so we can have this in place at some point down the line (if folks want to do it). Thanks!

Re: Schedule Changed!!!
I would be against adding renegs myself. It seems in SAC'd once you have a top player, you keep him until he is no good. I like seeing players recycled into the pool each year.

Re: Schedule Changed!!!
We've never discussed renegotiating players in the Frenzy... at least not to my knowledge. I'm fine with the recycling of players back into the pool, as it is. It's hard enough getting RBs as we have it now! lol

Re: Schedule Changed!!!
Yah, I'm a fan of the Frenzy system especially since we have smaller rosters.
Like Burt said in SACD once you have a top player you reneg them for the rest of their career. However, I would be in favor of a revised reneg/RFA system to implement in Frenzy or revise in SAC'D that would alleviate some of Burt's concerns. Basic idea is that a player can avoid UFA only 1x via reneg OR RFA. So if you reneg a player you have them until their reneg'd contract runs out and then they have to be UFA - no reneg, no franchise, no RFA. If you RFA a player once their RFA contract runs out they have to hit UFA. I think this system would still give teams who find "steals" the ability to capitalism on their find, but they don't hold that player hostage for the rest of their careers for bargain basement prices. A nice balance between Frenzy and SACD, IMO.
