Week 15 1st Round Notes
The Royal Hawaiian Opihi's 133.05 points was the 11th highest score in Frenzy post season history. The combined score of the Opihi/Derby Car game of 215.1 points was the 5th lowest scoring game in Frenzy post season history. The Opihi's margin of victory over the Derby Cars of 51 points was the 3rd largest margin of victory in Frenzy post season history. Brian Westbrook's 32.95 points was the 9th highest RB score in Frenzy post season history. Jason Elam's 13 points was the 3rd highest K score in Frenzy post season history. Elam has 4 of the top ten post season kicker scores in Frenzy history. Elam has appeared in at least one playoff game in every year of the Frenzy existience, previously appearing for the Predators and Dodgers. The Opihi passed the Rabid Garbage Dogs and Devil Hounds and moved into a tie with the Wonder Mutts for 4th place all time with two lifetime post season wins. The Opihi passed the Wonder Mutts and moved into 4th place all time with a .500 post season winning percentage. The Opihi passed the Brain Dead Squirrel Chasers and moved into a tie with the Nittany Dodgers for 3rd place all time with a 60% post season appearance record (they have appeared in the post season in 60% of the seasons they have been in the Frenzy). The Royal Hawaiian Opihi passed the Brain Dead Squirrel Chasers and are now in 4th place all time with 117.75 points per playoff game. The Opihi passed the Brain Dead Squirrel Chasers and Jersey Toxic Waste and are in 4th place all time with 471 career post season points. Jeremy Shockey passed Christian Fauria, Boo Williams, Alge Crumpler and Freddie Jones and moved into 10th place among TEs with 15.8 career post season points (Jeremy also played 1 game for the Opihi in 2005). Miami passed Pittsburgh, and Seattle to move into 5th place among defenses with 36 career post season points. The Soap Box Derby Cars' 82.05 points was the 5th lowest score in Frenzy post season history. The Derby Cars passed the Freedom, and Jersey Toxic Waste and are now in 7th place among active teams with a 25% playoff appearance percentage. The Derby Cars are 9th among active teams with 82.05 points per playoff game (FTR, only 9 active teams have appeared in the post season). Javon Walker passed Larry Fitzgerald, Keyshawn Johnson, Marty Booker, and Randy Moss and moved into 8th place all time among WRs with 55.1 career post season points (Walker also played two games for the Predators in 2004). Jermaine Wiggins passed Freddie Jones and moved into 9th place all time among TEs with 16.2 career post season points (Jermaine played 2 games for the Predators in 2004). The Bay Area Bloodsucking Insects' 138.6 points was the 9th highest score in Frenzy post season history. The combined score of the Insects/Ragers game of 240.1 points was the 9th highest score game in Frenzy post season history. The margin of victory by the Insects over the Ragers of 37.1 points was the 9th largest margin in Frenzy post season history. LaDanian Tomlinson's 39.15 points was the 5th highest RB score in Frenzy post season history. Jerramy Steven's 14.9 points was the 3rd highest TE score in Frenzy post season history. New England's 24 points tied the 2nd highest D score in Frenzy post season history, behind only San Francisco's 27 points for the Insects in the 2001 Frenzy Bowl. The Insects are 2nd all time with 4 lifetime post season victory, behind the Predators record 7 victories. The Insects remained tied with the Jersey Toxic Waste as the only teams with a 1.000 post season winning percentage. The Insects passed the Jersey Toxic Waste and are now in 6th place with a 33.3% playoff appearance percentage. The Bay Area Bloodsucking Insects are 7th among active teams with 112.06 points per playoff game. The Insects passed the Brain Dean Squirrel Chasers and Jersey Toxic waste and are now in 5th place all time with 448.25 career post season points. The New England defense passed Cincinnati, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Miami, Pittsburgh, and Seattle to move into 4th place among defenses with 39 career post season points. The Urza's Ragers' 101.5 points was the 13th lowest score in Frenzy post season history. The Ragers playoff appearance percentage of 16.7% is 9th among active Frenzy teams. The Ragers are 8th all time with 101.5 points per playoff game. Plaxico Burress passed Randy Moss and Torry Holt and moved into 6th place all time among WRs with 60.1 career post season points (Plax also played 3 games for the Insects in 2001). You say one game is small, I say one game is big. There were a whole bunch of single games that had they turned out differently would have changed things big time. Heck, one 7 yard catch was the differernce between the Insects and the Ragers playing for the trophy this week (had I beat the Insects in the Donald Driver game, I believe I would have taken the wildcard, and lost in the first round). One game is big, baby, and I stand by that as long as that one game is on our side. |
