Mike you might wanna be careful on those CJ Anderson bids. One more bump and you might be looking at 350 in cap if you put Penny on your A/R. Of course you can always cut one of your 4 QBs so not that big of a deal.

Just remember I don't take this as serious as you do, so go ahead and bump him!! I know you want him because you only bid on players you want.

Sorry about that Jim, I know thats how you play it.

Although he didn't directly say that I was reading between the lines on his comments about carrying 4 QBs. Who knows my interpretation could be wrong on that.

Looks like Mike called my bluff or was it a bluff? Desperate measures call for desperate moves, we'll see how desperate I am.

Gotta hand it to Mike after he was caught with his hand in the cookie jar on 2 QBs (not that he would ever admit to it), good job Mike!!

If I give up on CJ a QB will either be traded or hit the FA market, probably not right away but it will happen eventually. So if you wanted one of those QBs just stay patient.

There are no trades on the table at the moment nor a discussion with any team.

That said, I am of course open to offers and won't be unreasonable. I value Cousins and Stafford the most (2nd rd pick)... after that willing to consider a 3rd for the others (Rivers/Roethlisburger). Rivers can't officially be moved until the start of the off-season.

It's true on my side Bobby since I think I'm the only one who needed a starting QB. Now that I have a "top 10" QB from last year on my roster I'll be very patient on getting another QB.

Smith is the only QB to go to a worse situation from where he was. I expect good to great years and repeating in the top 10 for Cousins, Rivers, Stafford and Big Ben. Alex Smith... I personally expect to drop into the low teens. High quality fantasy backup in 2018, not a starter IMO.

And then there were 3... Mike Six was wise enough to see their was good value in acquiring Ben. FWIW all discussion on the Big Ben trade happened within the past 30 minutes or so. There is still be great value to had in our trio of remaining QB's, open to moving 1 more or keeping all 3.

Bees let you off the hook!! And he's a division rival. Ben was 2.55 PPG better than Borlles last year. You're living right Mike, you would have potentially been 75CB short of the moves you wanted to make.

I've learned not to worry about moves that "may" have to be made weeks or months down the road.

Reality is Ben, and all 4 of the QB's we have/had are on very good contracts and should have sold higher. Mike gets a great QB2 who will take away a QB1 from another roster for a cheap pick. We get some value for risking the cap hit in bidding on these guys, when we admittedly expected to see them sell much higher, but gladly accepted at the price they were won.

This was really a win-win deal for both teams. Waivers are no sure thing, and neither is UFA bidding in the future.

And I maintain, I'm still open to moving 1 more QB, or keeping all 3.

Maybe thats my problem I'm always looking ahead and trying to plan my moves (some time I plan them really bad). Maybe I need to stop doing that.

I always have a "master plan", but it's flexible. Players get hurt, players get traded, players get suspended, hard to lock in your cap 100% with so much of the off-season left to go. I should add, sometimes it's worth risking a cap hit just to have the extra look at players before deciding who makes the Active Roster as well.

Exactly right...players get traded...I am STILL hating the Landry move to Cleveland...I have time to see how it works out and it may, but I have a feeling that Landry will hit the waiver wire sooner rather than later. That is too bad because he has been a fairly solid WR on a Card team bereft of WR talent...he was locked and loaded at the end of soft cap time, but I couldn't pull the trigger...there is my one huge fault - being too loyal to "my" guys...2019 I will be over it and a new regime will be installed...

Or they suck like A. Cooper, then you find out they played injured all year. Then a new coach comes in and says he'll be the focal point of the passing game. I considered trading him for a token draft pick because of his salary. I used a #2 pick on him so I gotta ride this near dead horse a little longer.

Yes, that rule was voted out last year and took effect this season. There is no longer a skill position max on your roster.

Here is the vote from 2017 eliminating the restriction.

Bad timing with new team and system...cost is issue too with so much uncertainty about his (AB) sanity level...then the move to Vegas next year...a lot going on with that real NFL team...

Looking at the prices for UFA RB's make's me real happy about trading Kirk Cousins for Melvin Gordon and his 1861cb contract.

Damien Williams is currently at 2000, Devonta Freeman at 1680 and counting. Ironically, the Cards, same team who traded away Gordon, are the high bidder on Freeman at this time.

Curious to see where Kareem Hunt, Duke Johnson, and Chris Thompson end up at as well.

The slow roll bidding on QB's Cam Newton and Russell Wilson has been interesting to watch and partially partake in as well.

As for the WR's, color me stunned at the coin Robert Woods is going to receive!

Back to the RBs, the Preds are happy to be sitting tight with our current RB corps of Connor, Gordon, McCoy, and Lewis with Rashaad Penney, Justin Jackson and Devin Singletary waiting in the wings on the Taxi Squad.

Whispers are McCoy may not make the final roster if Penney steps up in training camp. We'll see!

well, don't be too surprised about woods, I hadn't finished my research while I was bidding on him, so after I finished that he's way too high, so im taking the cap hit and will release him, sign and release 1 year, back to square one, lol for example I have one guy on my team with same expected points output and hes a lot less, lol that's what I get for not being prepared this year.

Cards are not unhappy with everything that has transpired...cap space is there to be used as efficiently as can be expected...I think others may be overplaying their hands a bit, but we will see...Cards have enough talent on roster currently to compete...now being healthy and staying healthy are key components to every roster...we here in Chi-Town know who we want and at what level we are prepared to pay...plus we ONLY bump Denver players to push others’ cap space...
