Phillip Rivers currently making $600 in 2008. I would like to give him a four year deal so his salary this year (2008) goes to $750 and $825 in 2009.

Not to mention he gives up a better performing QB to do it, all to move up from the 4th to the 3rd round in the draft. Ooooookay.

Mashers confirm trade
Rivers was a better qb than Schaub last year...I like Schaub's chances going forward. And Rivers' contract was up so to retain him it was likely going to cost a lot more. |
